A Siberian must first remain a Siberian

Our selection begins with the complete cat

Blue and odd eyes are visually striking, but they are only one part of our work. A Siberian must first remain a Siberian: substantial, well built, richly coated and balanced in temperament.

We consider body structure, bone, paws, head, coat, development, temperament and pedigree before deciding how an individual may contribute to our traditional Siberian bloodlines.

We preserve traditional Siberian bloodlines without introducing Neva Masquerade blood into our programme.

The objective is not to manufacture a fashionable appearance, but to follow rare characteristics through documented traditional ancestry while maintaining the qualities we expect from the Siberian breed.

Meet our Siberian kittens

Planned litters, individual personalities

The kitten you see today is the result of the parents, pedigree and breeding decisions made long before its birth. Each litter is planned through the study of the parents and their pedigrees.

All our kittens are socialised from an early age. Cuddled and pampered every day, they are used to human contact, to being stroked and to tenderness.

Some litters may include white kittens, blue-eyed or odd-eyed kittens; others express different colours and patterns present within our traditional lines.

A kitten is not chosen only by colour. We are happy to explain differences in temperament and development to help a family choose a companion suited to its expectations.

The cats behind the kittens

Our breeding males and females

A breeding programme is built through generations, not through a single beautiful cat. We study the morphology, development, temperament and pedigree of our breeding cats, because each mating becomes part of the future of our lines.

A pedigree allows us to look beyond the individual cat. Parents, grandparents and previous generations help us understand the ancestry behind morphology, colour and eye colour.

Blue and odd eyes

A distinctive direction of our programme

Natural blue eyes and odd eyes appear within the traditional Siberian lines we follow, and we have observed them through several generations since 2018.

We never select a cat on eye colour alone: morphology, pedigree, temperament and coat remain fundamental.

Siberian cat colours

One breed, many natural expressions

Our lines include white, brown tabby, silver, black, red, tortie and golden expressions. The exact colour and EMS code of each kitten are established according to its actual characteristics.

Colour can naturally influence a family’s preference, but it is not the first criterion in our breeding decisions.

Health, documents and guarantee

Veterinary follow-up and clear information

Our breeding cats are followed regularly by our veterinarian. The hearing of white kittens is checked before departure.

Each kitten is prepared according to its age and destination with identification, vaccinations, veterinary documents, a contract and its LOOF pedigree.

Our kittens benefit from a two-year breeder guarantee according to the conditions specified in the contract.

Allergy is individual. Reactions vary from one person to another, and no Siberian kitten should be presented as universally hypoallergenic.

Reservation and international delivery

From Nice to a new home worldwide

  1. First contact: we discuss your family, your expectations and the kitten you are considering.
  2. Choice: availability, parents, temperament and practical details are discussed.
  3. Reservation: confirmed according to our written conditions and the deposit.
  4. Preparation: the kitten keeps growing with us while veterinary and administrative preparation is completed.
  5. Departure: the kitten joins its family when the requirements for its destination are met.

Our kittens join families in France, throughout Europe and internationally. For export, additional requirements such as rabies vaccination and travel documents may apply, and the kitten may stay with us longer.

Transport is discussed individually according to the destination, so that the journey suits the kitten.

For professional breeders

More than colour and eye colour

Chatterie de Nice welcomes serious professional enquiries concerning selected cats and traditional Siberian bloodlines. Not every kitten is available for breeding, and every request is considered individually.

Rare eyes alone are not a sufficient reason to choose a breeding cat. We consider morphology, temperament, pedigree and compatibility with the intended programme.
