Traditional Siberian cats
from the south
of France.

A professional breeding programme established in 2016, devoted to traditional Siberian type, documented ancestry and distinctive natural blue and odd eyes.

Welcome to Chatterie de Nice, a professional Siberian cat breeder Europe based in Nice, on the French Riviera. Since 2016, our breeding work has been dedicated to Siberian cats of traditional type, with particular attention to morphology, pedigree, temperament and carefully followed ancestry.

Our identity has become closely associated with blue-eyed Siberian cats and odd-eyed Siberian cats. These unusual eyes are visually striking, but they are only one part of our work. A Siberian must first remain a Siberian: substantial, well built, richly coated and balanced in temperament.

For this reason, our selection begins with the complete cat. We consider body structure, bone, paws, head, coat, development, temperament, pedigree and available health information before deciding how an individual may contribute to our traditional Siberian bloodlines.

Our breeding programme is devoted to the traditional Siberian. We preserve traditional Siberian bloodlines without introducing Neva Masquerade blood into our programme. The objective is not to manufacture a fashionable appearance, but to follow rare characteristics through documented traditional ancestry while maintaining the qualities we expect from the Siberian breed.

More than 150 kittens from Chatterie de Nice have already joined families in France and internationally. Today we work both with families looking for a companion and with professional breeders searching for pedigree Siberian cats and selected lines.

Meet our
Siberian kittens.

The kitten you see today is the result of the parents, pedigree and breeding decisions made long before its birth.

Our Siberian kittens are raised in our home and become accustomed to everyday family life. During their development we observe morphology, coat, temperament and individual personality rather than evaluating a kitten only from one photograph or one visible characteristic.

Each litter is planned through the study of the parents and their pedigrees. The purpose of a pairing is to combine qualities that make sense together and to continue the characteristics we value in our Siberian cats.

Some litters may include white kittens, blue-eyed Siberian cats or odd-eyed Siberian cats; others express different colours and patterns present within our traditional lines.

Families searching for Siberian kittens for sale can consult our current kittens and contact us for information about availability, sex, colour, parents, character and expected departure.

Most kittens are placed as family companions. Selected kittens may occasionally be discussed with professional breeders when their development, pedigree and the proposed breeding project are compatible.

A kitten is not chosen only by colour. We are happy to explain differences in temperament, development and characteristics to help a family choose a companion suited to its expectations.

The cats behind
the kittens.

A breeding programme is built through generations, not through a single beautiful cat.

Our breeding males and females are the foundation of Chatterie de Nice. We study their morphology, development, temperament and pedigrees because each mating becomes part of the future of our traditional Siberian bloodlines.

A pedigree allows us to look beyond the individual cat. Parents, grandparents and previous generations help us understand the ancestry behind morphology, colour, eye colour and other characteristics.

For a professional breeder this information is essential. For a family it also explains why two kittens that may appear similar in a photograph can represent very different pedigrees and breeding histories.

Blue-eyed Siberian cats

Blue eyes.
Traditional
Siberian ancestry.

The eyes attract attention first. Our selection begins with the cat behind them.

Blue-eyed Siberian cats are one of the distinctive directions of our breeding programme. Our interest concerns natural blue eyes appearing within the traditional Siberian lines we follow.

We do not select blue-eyed Siberian cats only because their eyes are unusual. Morphology, pedigree, ancestry, temperament, coat and available health information remain fundamental.

The objective is to preserve the visual rarity without losing the identity of the traditional Siberian. A beautiful eye colour must belong to a Siberian cat whose overall qualities justify its place in the programme.

Pedigrees help us follow the ancestry behind our blue-eyed Siberian cats and understand how characteristics appear through generations. This is one reason pedigree work is so important to our selection.

Families interested specifically in blue-eyed Siberian cats can contact us about current or future kittens. Availability naturally depends on each litter; eye colour should never be assumed before it can be evaluated reliably.

Professional breeders can request additional information about an individual cat, including pedigree, parents, EMS code when established and available health documentation.

Odd-eyed Siberian cats

Two colours.
One extraordinary
expression.

Rare to the eye, but always considered within the complete Siberian cat.

Odd-eyed Siberian cats have two differently coloured eyes and form another recognisable part of our work at Chatterie de Nice.

The visual effect can be spectacular, particularly in a white Siberian cat, but our breeding decisions are never based on eye colour alone.

Our odd-eyed Siberian cats are considered according to morphology, pedigree, temperament, ancestry and available health information just like the other cats in our programme.

The purpose is not simply to obtain odd-eyed Siberian cats. It is to preserve this rare expression while maintaining the substance, coat and overall identity we expect from our traditional Siberians.

White kittens receive veterinary attention to hearing before departure. Families receive information relevant to their individual kitten and its documentation.

Breeders interested in odd-eyed Siberian cats may contact us with information about their own breeding programme and the type of pedigree or project they are seeking.

Siberian cat colours

One breed.
Many natural
expressions.

Colour changes the first impression. It does not change what we require from the Siberian beneath the coat.

The Siberian breed offers a remarkable variety of colours, patterns and expressions. At Chatterie de Nice, our kittens may represent different colours depending on the parents and litter.

Our lines include white, brown tabby, silver, black, red, tortie and other colour expressions. The exact colour and EMS code of an individual kitten are established according to its actual characteristics; we do not identify an EMS code from appearance alone when it has not yet been confirmed.

Colour can naturally influence a family’s preference, but it is not the first criterion in our breeding decisions. Whether white, tabby, silver, red or tortie, our Siberian cats are selected according to the complete animal and its pedigree.

01

White

05

Beauty is visible.
The work behind it
is not.

Responsible breeding includes veterinary follow-up, documentation and clear information for the future owner.

Health is part of every responsible breeding decision. At Chatterie de Nice, health information is considered together with pedigree, morphology and temperament. Available documentation depends on the individual cat and its line.

Our breeding follow-up includes attention to HCM, PKD and PKDef information. Individual genetic results and veterinary documentation are communicated where applicable rather than presented as a universal result for every cat.

White kittens receive veterinary attention to hearing before departure. Each kitten is also prepared according to its age and destination with the appropriate identification, vaccination and veterinary documentation.

Our kittens benefit from a two-year breeder guarantee according to the conditions specified in the contract. The purpose of written conditions is to make clear what is included and what accompanies the kitten.

LOOF pedigree Siberian cats

A pedigree is
a history.

Behind every breeding cat are parents, grandparents and generations that help us understand what we see today.

For us, a LOOF pedigree is not simply an additional document. It is an essential part of breeding work because it identifies the ancestry behind a cat and provides the framework for studying a bloodline.

When planning future generations, we consider the individual cat together with the pedigree behind it. This becomes particularly important when following distinctive characteristics such as natural blue eyes and odd eyes within traditional Siberian bloodlines.

Professional breeder enquiries can therefore include more technical information: EMS code, date of birth, sire, dam, pedigree, available health documentation and breeding status.

Siberian cats & allergies

Living with
a Siberian when
allergies matter.

Allergy is individual. Choosing a breed does not provide a universal guarantee of tolerance.

The Siberian is frequently researched by people who experience allergies to cats. However, reactions vary from one person to another and no individual kitten should be presented as universally hypoallergenic.

For this reason, families concerned about allergies should approach the subject carefully and understand that tolerance cannot be guaranteed simply because a kitten is a Siberian.

We have dedicated information explaining our experience with Siberian cats and allergies, what families should consider and why individual reactions matter.

Reservation & adoption conditions

Choosing a kitten.
Then making it
official.

Adoption begins with communication. Before a reservation, we want to understand who is interested in the kitten, where the kitten will live and what the future family expects. Our first contact therefore includes a direct conversation.

Once a kitten and family have been matched and the conditions are understood, the reservation is confirmed according to our written reservation terms and the required deposit.

Visits are reserved for families who have confirmed their reservation. This allows us to protect the kittens, organise visits responsibly and devote appropriate time to the families who are genuinely preparing an adoption.

The reservation period also allows the kitten to continue its development with us while veterinary preparation, vaccination, identification and documents appropriate to its departure are completed.

Before final departure, the family receives the contractual and practical information relevant to its kitten. For international adoptions, additional requirements may apply according to destination.

France · Europe · Worldwide delivery

From Nice
to a new home
worldwide.

International adoption requires preparation. The destination determines the timetable, documents and travel requirements.

As a Siberian cat breeder Europe, Chatterie de Nice works with families in France, throughout Europe and internationally. Our kittens have joined families far beyond the French Riviera.

For a kitten remaining in France, departure preparation differs from an international journey. For export, additional veterinary and administrative requirements may apply.

Depending on destination, preparation may include microchip identification, vaccinations, rabies vaccination, veterinary examination, travel documentation and other requirements imposed by the destination country.

This means the age at which a kitten can leave is not identical for every family. International departure may require the kitten to remain with us longer while the necessary timetable is completed.

Transport is discussed individually according to destination and practical possibilities. The objective is to organise a journey appropriate to the kitten rather than offer one identical transport solution for every country.

Families in Europe can contact us with their city and country so that the appropriate options can be discussed. For destinations outside Europe, we examine the specific requirements before confirming the expected departure process.

International breeder projects may require additional pedigree and breeding documentation. These details are discussed directly with the breeder.

Our role as a Siberian cat breeder Europe does not end at the French border. International families receive information about preparation and documentation before the kitten leaves Chatterie de Nice.

For professional breeders

More than
colour and
eye colour.

For a breeder, the photograph is only the beginning of the conversation.

Chatterie de Nice welcomes serious professional enquiries concerning selected cats and traditional Siberian bloodlines. Not every kitten is available for breeding and every request is considered individually.

For breeder enquiries, information may include the kitten’s sex, date of birth, EMS code when confirmed, sire, dam, pedigree, eye colour, available health information, breeding status and international departure possibilities.

Breeders interested in blue-eyed Siberian cats or odd-eyed Siberian cats should tell us about their own programme, existing cats and objectives. This makes it possible to discuss whether an individual pedigree may be relevant to the proposed project.

Rare eyes alone are not sufficient reason to choose a breeding cat. We consider morphology, temperament, pedigree and compatibility with the intended programme. The objective is to protect the quality of the cat and the continuity of the line.
